This walking excursion
starts from Helsinki and takes you to Porkkalanniemi; a scenic peninsula which reaches out into the midst of one of the world’s
largest archipelagos.
A walk into the forest brings us past an ancient burial cairn dated back to the Nordic bronze age. Surrounding this burial cairn lays our trail, an enjoyable nature walk
with several lookout points and resting areas.
Highlights:
Aside from the landscape and history, Porkkala is a great place to see swans in the summer and great migrations of birds in the spring and
fall. During twilight and nightfall it is quite common to see deer and foxes in the area and with a bit of extra luck a moose!
Experience the Finnish archipelago nature
Porkkala is a relatively unknown destination to international visitors. Join us to experience a unique side of Finland, the quiet nature side. A
walk in this park highlights why Finland is one of the best outdoor destinations and why Finns enjoy their peace and quiet.
We believe that nature heals. Surrounded by natural wonders and incredibly diverse habitats this half-day in the archipelago will leave
you wanting to rekindle your love for the outdoors.
