Preparing a loom is a slow process that requires a lot of patience and expertise. This 3-day workshop offers you a quicker way for easy weaving. Your instructor will help you in choosing the right material, colors, and pattern and warp the loom ready for weaving. All you need to do is the fun part, weaving itself. After you reach a certain flow of repeating the pattern, you will start feeling calm and happy.
Your instructor is called Riitta Kiukas. She is a travel professional who decided to learn new skills during the pandemic and started a 2-year education to become a professional weaving expert. Her own works mainly consist of woolen bed runners but when needed, she weaves also carpets, towels etc.
The workshop takes place in a weaving wagon in a country home located in Tervakoski, 20km from Riihimäki and 21km from Hämeenlinna. You will get picked up from the railway station when needed.
